6. do a short meditation session
Practiced regularly, it reduces stress, improves emotional well-being and enhances concentration.
And you can meditate anywhere. Just take a few minutes and you’ll feel more relaxed and ready to get back to work.
7. tidy up your workspace
When your desk and computer are tidy, it’s easier to work. A cluttered workspace, on the other hand, makes you restless and it’s harder to find the right things.
Make it a habit to tidy your desk (both physical and digital) every day. Throw away accumulated junk, put everything in its place, close unnecessary tabs. It only takes a minute, but you will feel the effects immediately.
8. have a snack or chew gum
Instead of sweets or fast food, eat something healthy for your brain, such as blueberries, oily fish, nuts or avocado. And to feel more active and alert, breathe in the scent of citrus fruits.
If you don’t have any to hand, simply chew a piece of gum. This will supply the attention-relevant parts of your brain with more oxygen, making it easier for you to concentrate.
9. look at an old photo of yourself.
For example, a snapshot of you when you were five or fifteen years old. Remind yourself of what you have achieved since then and think about what you can still do to be proud of yourself in the past. This will give you a new boost of motivation.
10. change your working environment
If you feel that your productivity has decreased, try to change something about your environment. For example, work standing up instead of sitting down, move from a noisy room to a quieter one or set up your office in a café. Even a small change can help you become much more productive.
